His job is simple: step into a story as a forgettable side character, guide the protagonist toward love, success, and happiness, then vanish before the climax. The God of Happy Endings has done it in a thousand worlds and never once stayed to see the ending. But something is wrong. Across worlds and memory resets, the protagonists he saves keep finding him. They hum songs he once sang, reach for his hand before they know his name, and pull him back into stories he has already left. And the more worlds he walks through, the clearer the truth becomes: they might all be the same soul, and that soul has loved him every time.
